A)  Make sure that you oil all the moving parts, such as the rollers, pulleys, hinges and springs on a monthly basis. Using a light weight oil is the preferred method. A light weight grease may be applied to the track, but make sure you dont put to much and do not use heavy weight grease. (This will cause gumming up and the rollers will not roll through the track in a smooth motion)

B) Never put your hands on the cables or springs when maintenancing your garage door. (Cable or spring breakage can cause severe injury)
